We brought along a closet full of food items from the US. One thing that we brought were ring pops for the kids. Big Mistake? We’ll you decide:

Any guesses as to what exactly this place is selling?

Yes that’s right, Used Electronics. You can take your used electronics and sell them for cash, including video tapes and DVD’s of all types, and I mean all types. And you have to be careful with kids around because the Disney videos may well be shelved along with Adult titles.
We took the Boys to get haircuts, and Daniel would not sit in the chair without crying. So, the barber indicated for Kim to hold him on her lap. She picked him up and sat with him facing the same direction as she was. The barber indicated that they should be face to face and produced a barbers “cape” with two head holes or just such an occasion:

Haircuts are quite the experience here. You get the works for one price. Hair cut, shampoo, straight razor shave, and a massage. The first time I went the barber even pulled out some massaging pad and massaged my head neck and shoulders. Also if you want, they will shave your forehead. The have even shaved my earlobes!
Next here are some pictures from our OAP New Years Party. We had it at a restaurant called Graphics. The fare was basically American, steaks, ribs, Pizza, stuff we’re used too. The owners were quite friendly and even sent some snacks and deserts our way for free. Inside they had an F1 racecar:

The Japanese girl and boy in this picture are the owners grandchildren. The little girl had been carrying around a paper “Wand” like a fairy godmother. After a while the kids all started playing together, and this little girl gave the wand to Gracie. As it turns out, Gracie seems to get lots of presents from Japanese people like that. See future blogs for more.
This was the sink in the bathroom:

It actually wasn’t functional, but was worth a picture anyway. If you have ever been in the men’s bathroom in Bucca de Beppo, this would fit right in. (If you’ve never been in the men’s room in Bucca de Beppo, check it out, it’s quite interesting!!)
Finally, there were several US license plates on the wall above the racecar. One of which was this one:

For those of you from Marysville, you’ll quickly see that it is a Union County plate from Ohio. For those of you not from Ohio, that’s our county back home!! I am sure that some other person who came here with Honda brought the plate, but still it sure makes it seem like a very small world.
